Having completed a renovation of a two-story apartment in this building, SKA was asked to return to assist with a renovation of the common areas. The extensive facelift involved refreshing the lobby level and adding a new mail station, repairing and leveling the entire main staircase, updating the railings and paint, and redesigning the lighting.

The largest design intervention was repairing the curved and detailed staircase, which needed to be shored up with additional steel supports. With the KCB team, we brought back the historical details throughout the space and aligned that restorative work with fresh, modern lighting and details. The custom-built mail station from KCB is a functional and beautiful new addition for these residents.
