The client, a scientist by day and amazing baker by night, approached SKA in need of a two new kitchens for her level one tenants and her level two home. Our goal was to create a beautiful, functional space that could serve as a gathering spot for her family and friends as well as meet her professional baking needs.

The family wanted to open up the old, cut up floor plan to have better flow from the kitchen to the living room and backyard on both levels. The basement was turned from a traditionally neglected area to a spa retreat complete with a cold water plunge pool and full shower. Despite being below ground, we were able to integrate natural light through high-set windows.
