We completed a comprehensive gut renovation of this four-level Cambridge condo for a young couple, transforming it from dark and enclosed to one filled with light and organic flow. The design concept centered on bringing the tranquility of nature indoors through a refined, nature-inspired aesthetic. Rich oak millwork and flooring ground the home with warmth, while a palette of soft blues—echoing sky and water—infuses each level with calm. In select spaces, a floral-inspired artisan tile adds texture and a sense of movement.

A key architectural intervention involved opening the central stairwell, transforming it from a dark core into a vertical light shaft that floods every floor with natural light. The formerly enclosed kitchen was reimagined as an open, integrated space with a light-filled breakfast nook, enhancing flow and connection throughout the main living areas.

This project exemplifies how thoughtful design can transform a challenging vertical space into a functional, sophisticated, bright, and deeply personal sanctuary.
